The project
👤 This project is co-mentored by Lilia Lisina. Submit one application to any co-mentor.
Contribute to early-stage research exploring how AI developments could shape food systems and related fields over the coming decades. AltProtein.Jobs is the leading talent platform for the food-system transition, and this project extends our work: understanding where the field is heading, so that your research can help influence where talent and resources are directed over the coming decades.
The mentee's role
Mentee work may include:
- Researching foresight and scenario-planning methodologies, relevant literature, and expert communities, including approaches from adjacent fields such as climate, biosecurity, and AI governance
- Conducting a pilot scenario-planning exercise to test and refine the methodology
- Compiling findings and recommendations into a structured report that informs the design of the full study.

Nadja Milivojev
AltProtein.Jobs (a project of CellAg Germany)
I'm responsible for strategy, fundraising, and outreach at AltProtein.Jobs, the leading talent platform for the food-system transition – ~33,000 users across 80+ countries, 113+ influenced career placements in 2025. We operate as a project of CellAg Deutschland e.V., a partner in the EU Horizon consortium FEASTS, where we lead the German National Action Plan for cellular agriculture.
With a PhD in stem cell biology and experience in cultivated meat, my work now supports the infrastructure of the alternative protein ecosystem through engaging in the industry, politics, and research. Our organization is currently developing programs at the intersection of AI, alternative proteins, and animal welfare, including a research project on how AI trajectories will reshape the protein transition. I care about ensuring the movement's talent and resources go where they matter most.
