Optimising animal protection content for generative AI

The project
When people ask ChatGPT questions about animals, where does it find the correct information? Who does it cite?
Content creators have long understood that they need to play the game of search engine optimisation (SEO). The way you structure your content influences whether or not it gets ranked highly in search engines. However, people are increasingly ditching search engines in favour of asking large language models and generative AI tools for answers. This has led to a parallel discipline called answer engine optimisation (AEO) or generative engine optimisation (GEO). Regardless of what it's called, it's potentially incredibly important for the movement. AEO is a rapidly evolving field with lots of hype but probably some signal. It is very important that the animal protection movement understands this emerging field so that they can tailor their content to get picked up and cited by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc.
The mentee's role
I want the mentee to do a deep amount of research into this field as I don't have time to do it myself. AI can do the desk research, but we still need a human to proofread it, fact-check it, and steer the model away from hype and towards the real signal.
