Any/all, but am less interested in deep ML research in evals/interp directions. Happy to provide some guidance.
Who I'm looking for
High agency. I don't really care too much what skills a mentee comes in with, as long as they can and believe they can figure out how to do anything that they want to, or that may be required on the path to their goals. If they are willing to read a theoretical research paper outside of their field, learn how to build large applications with agents, find the right people to help with a project, and care deeply about the project mission, then we're all good.
Support offered
I'm happy to help with all parts of the project stack, but I would like mentees to have some ideas of what and how they would like the project to look like.
I can help shape the direction and redteam ideas, scope out how hard or long particular projects or subtasks may be or take, check-in at least weekly for accountability and advising, and provide any concrete project advice or steering given my background.

Ronak Mehta
ML/CS PhD, have worked on many different projects across the AI/safety/EA space.
- Lots of experience with building a startup, entrepreneurship, and project management.
- Currently thinking about building tools and systems that have ambitious profiles (i.e., huge if true or scaled), across the Sentient Futures area of causes. Would love to help support projects that have ambitious theories of change.
